Henri-grignon PROJECT
This unique kitchen is at the heart of a spectacular single-family home newly constructed by the architectural firm Garnier Villeneuve. The focal point of this residence is the kitchen space, located in the center of the house, designed in a two-story volumetric manner to create a distinct area with peripheral rooms. The kitchen has been conceived as two completely independent functional areas.
The first half of the space is shared with the light-filled living room space, and serves primarily as a reception kitchen. A monolithic porcelain block, serving as a central island on a high elevation of white oak, separates the two spaces.
The second is a functional kitchen used daily by the family; anthracite gray defines this space where all accessories and small appliances are neatly arranged on a large open shelf for the convenience of the chef, without any ergonomic constraints. A delight for both the eye and function under one roof!
