6 LOCALLY MADE GIFTS FOR DESIGN LOVERS

Because gifts are at the heart of our concerns at the beginning of December, we had the idea to share with you our local favourites! What better way to inspire us than to visit the popular Souk MTL event, then the Must Société Christmas Market and the Atwater Market Christmas Village…

Here are six creative gifts for everyone on your list—we even have ideas for when you just don’t know what to give!

HOTELMOTEL wallets

HOTELMOTEL wallets are the meeting point between design, quality, functionality and minimalism. Handmade in Montreal with European leather, they come in many styles and sizes, whether you’re looking for a 3-compartment card holder or a 15-compartment wallet. For the traveller in your life, we recommend the PASSPORT model, which makes it easy to carry passports, cards and cash.

We were particularly inspired by the slow fashion influence of this brand: its pieces made “with love, care and tenderness” are durable, ethical and designed for everyday use, no matter the occasion.

Our contradictory motto, PLEASE DISTURB, politely invites you to join us in our quest to disrupt the fashion industry in favour of a slower alternative.

SAND collection by Loïc & Monique

The SAND broom and brush collection was born from a collaboration between carpenter Loïc Bard and textile designer Monique Ste-Marie. Each piece is handcrafted by both artists from wood and natural fibres, transforming an everyday object into a true work of art. This is the first time that we will not want to hide our household accessories!

Our favourite at Souk MTL: brooms and brushes from the SAND collection, which reminded us of brushes originally used by architects.

Agile jewelry by Catherine Nadeau

Delicate, refined and timeless, Agile jewelry is a great idea to spoil a special woman in your life. This collection by Catherine Nadeau was inspired by elements of nature, such as the movement of water, the texture of shells and the beauty of Portuguese landscapes. The products that result from this creative process will undoubtedly make you smile.
