FALL TRENDS: NATURE, TEXTURES AND RICH COLOURS
HOW TO TAKE INSPIRATION FROM FASHION INTO DESIGN
Although days are still warm and the sun still shines, leaves are changing colour and nights are getting cooler. As we are heading into fall, it's time to say goodbye to summer and embrace this season.
We were inspired by this outfit from the Agnés B Fall 2017 Collection and developed a kitchen design palette that conveys the rich tones and textures from the runway look.
Here is how to integrate autumn trends in the kitchen:
1. Introduce darker and richer colours. We love the use of whites and light tones in the kitchen but we are also drawn to the warm and elegant ambiance that these mossy green and chestnut colours create.
2. Bring in nature and textures. The integration of natural materials, in this case rosewood for the cabinets, contributes to the refined look. Textured tiles on the floor create the perfect base for this cosy yet elegant kitchen.
3. Go for the gold. Another way to add texture and interest to the space is by finding the right accessories and lighting fixtures. The round gold cabinet knobs and the halo-like effect of the wall light add a touch of glamour and sparkle to the kitchen inspiration board.
4. Add a personal touch. Don't be afraid to incorporate vintage finds in your new space. While traveling through Portugal, one of our designers, Patrizia came across this beautiful patterned blue and creme tile. A few of these tiles would make an eye-catching backsplash. The dark amber glass soap dispenser finishes the look and leaves us with an enchanting smell.
Happy decorating!
