BIKA: FISUN ERCAN’S NEW FARM-TO-TABLE CONCEPT

In 2019, we were lucky to meet chef Fisun Ercan in order to renovate the kitchen of her ancestral home located in Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu. A year later, Fisun is set to open Bika, a new farm-to-table concept situated in a barn recently built on the adjacent land. A gastronomic experience combining local food and design you really don’t want to miss!
Bika’s local cuisine with a Turkish flair will be guided by Fisun’s inspirations, according to the changing seasons and the ingredients harvested on-site. This includes an impressive variety of fruits (apples, apricots, blackcurrants, blueberries, broad beans, cherries, goji berries, haskap berries, pears, rhubarb and wild strawberries), vegetables, herbs and honey… Not to mention organic and local foods from other producers and farms, which will also be showcased in Fisun’s dishes. In short, you can expect a menu rich in colours and textures that is sure to satisfy any food lover!
Bika offers a 6-course tasting menu from Thursday to Saturday, as well as 3 brunch options on Sunday. Since reservations are limited to 18 people, you will have the chance to enjoy an intimate dining experience in a bucolic setting.
Design lovers will be charmed by the magnificent glass barn that houses Bika’s country-style restaurant. Designed by Montreal designer Alexandre Lafleur, it offers breathtaking views of the natural landscapes of Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu. We promise that you will feel like you’re on vacation without leaving Quebec!
